Benchmark indices surged more than 3 percent yesterday, with many stocks hitting ceiling prices on the improvement of liquidity.

Vietnamese stocks extended losses on Friday as panic selling flooded the market, following the sharp fall of large-cap stocks.

The market’s benchmark index lost nearly 3.5 percent due to a strong selling force on Tuesday, mostly below the key level of 1,000 points.

HoSE, the VN-Index started off the afternoon under the baseline. It moved up and down and reached just above the baseline at about 2:30 pm.
