December 28, 2024, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended and directed the conference to review the work of 2024 and deploy tasks for 2025 of the planning and investment sector (MPI). At the Binh Phuoc bridge, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Tue Hien and leaders of departments, branches and sectors attended the conference.

In 2024, the Ministry of Planning and Investment was assigned by the Government and the Prime Minister to implement 61 projects and has basically completed the projects and tasks. By the end of 2024, the whole country had 447 established industrial parks. Of which, 304 industrial parks were in operation and 143 industrial parks were under construction. To date, industrial parks and economic zones nationwide have attracted more than 11,200 foreign investment projects and 10,600 domestic investment projects. By the end of November 2024, foreign investment projects are estimated to have disbursed over 21 billion USD, an increase of 7% over the same period in 2023, which is also a record high disbursement figure in the 2019-2024 period. Currently, industrial parks and economic zones nationwide have created jobs for about 4.16 million direct workers.
Implementing administrative reform and digital transformation, the ministry has strongly applied information technology in handling work; conducted online bidding on the national bidding network with 160,947 bidding packages, accounting for 99.97%.
In general, in 2024, the Ministry of Planning and Investment has effectively attracted FDI capital; promoted the improvement of the investment and business environment; coordinated with localities to concretize policies to promote new economic models, circular economy, and digital economy. Thereby, contributing to stabilizing the macro economy and promoting socio-economic development nationwide.
The conference also set out 10 key tasks to achieve economic development breakthroughs in 2025.
