Australians are increasingly using Vietnamese shrimp, from restaurants to large Australian supermarkets or Asian stores, Vietnamese shrimp are abundantly present.
Since the beginning of the year, shrimp exports to Australia have grown strongly. As of October 15, shrimp exports to Australia reached nearly $214 million, up 62% over the same period in 2021, this is a record increase among Vietnam's largest export markets.
The strength of Vietnamese shrimp is not only in quality and supply capacity, but also deep processing level, and the trade promotion efforts of businesses, localities, and representative agencies.

Economic Diplomacy Program held by the Vietnamese Embassy in Australia with the goal of "Building Vietnamese shrimp brand and developing Vietnamese shrimp present in Australia market" has implemented many activities during the year such as: supporting Vietnamese businesses to promote shrimp at the FineFood Fair; invited to try shrimp at the Finefood fair; promoting Vietnamese shrimp consumption program during the Christmas season through advertising and drawing prizes; introducing shrimp products at the International Exhibition along with Vietnamese shrimp exporters in 2022”; release shrimp market report and promotion solution.
2022 also witnessed an impressive growth of seafood exports to Australia with an increase of 42.64% after 11 months compared to the same period in 2021, reaching more than $331 million.
