SUMMARY
 
In May, although the export price of rubber had a favorable development, it is noteworthy that export output decreased sharply for the second consecutive month. Of which, the sharpest decrease was in the export volume to China.
 
In general, in 5M-2024, rubber export output has decreased compared to the same period. Of which, the export volume to China decreased further, while other markets still grew positively.
 
On the other hand, the prospect of rubber consumption demand in China may be more or less affected after the recent move to increase import tax by the US and EU on Chinese electric vehicles. This affects the prospect of exporting Vietnamese rubber to this market.
